RECONSECRATION OF THE WOMB

The female womb is sacred. It is a Holy Grail which contains and carries the
continuity of life for humankind. It is the sea in which each of us begins life, the
energy center for many of the most joyous and passionate experiences in life, and the
internal Temple that reflects the lunar cycles.
For many women, this holy vessel has become a Wounded Chalice in need of healing and
reconsecration.
This ceremony and associated training was originally developed by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki
and has become known world-wide as a healing tool for women after the violence of rape,
the trauma of hysterectomy, abortion, or miscarriage, and physical and mental sexual
abuse. Although intended for women who have undergone such suffering, the workshop
is open to all women.
This workshop is for women only and has a woman facilitator, our Reconsecration
Priestess. It offers a time of discussion, advice, and training. The
culmination of the experience is the actual Reconsecration of the Womb Ritual. Each
woman is offered the chance to go through the short, simple ceremony.
