This makes every altar a Tablet of Union and every properly functioning temple a Rose Cross.

Enshrine the image of the central flame in your hearts and let it enkindle there a likewise glow, that you also may be a Light unto the nations.

The Central Light

The altar light is within a blue votive container and is not a free candle flame. This shows the Light ensouling matter or force within form. Blue is the color of the Mother, and the light within represents her child. This is the light manifest. "And the Light became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld its glory."

In another sense the central light is the spirit which blooms when the four elements are balanced. This can be depicted in the following way, looking down on the temple from above.
